Looks like you are missing the rear armrest bases, and pads. I have a good pair of rear pads in white. I also have a pair of rear armrest bases.

Like I said, the interior was never attended to.

Dash pad is NICE, though. One unobtanium I don't have to worry about. Avon Skin-So-Soft you say, Marian?

Did the driver's side turn signal lense take a hit? I envy just how unmolested the car is....well taken care of but driven nonetheless.

Yes. It's broken. I found another one.
I'm trying to figure out why they came in both amber and clear. Different states, different regulations? Mid-year change?

No real rime or reason to the different lenses. You can run a clear bulb in the amber one, Or a colored bulb in the clear and achieve the same result.

Than please explain the clear / amber lense availability

I have no explanation on that ! I do know that as far as Ford trucks go some of them have clear signal lenses with amber lamps, and some are the opposite. I have also seen this on Chrysler products. Why is that I have no idea.. :icon_scratch:

Here is some info I found pertaining to front amber turn signals ,

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=576736

For CARS, The front turn/park lamps can be either clear/white or amber. (dot approved)

It is up to the manufacturer which dot approved color to use..
My total off the hip guess, VW changed to all amber fronts to save money.. That way what they (then) shipped to the US (after 63) was the same as everyone else.

"The new law in which amber was "mandatory" in 1968 allowed a transitional period where vehicles produced between 63-67 could use either white or amber."

So did you mean the lens must be amber???

Then explain why my 69 Pontiac and my 76 Olds and my 2001 Nissan and 2013 Nissan have clear lens??? They do have amber bulbs though. I believe the law says either the lens or the bulb. Even my 62 Pontiac has clear ft lens with a amber bulb.
