You did score on that beauty, Stan! What kind of reactions do you get on the road down there? Any of the o.f.'s give it a second look?

Thank you, Matt.
It gets more looks than the NYB ever got.

Under 50, they love the Newport. Over 70, they love the NYB.
50 - 70, they're looking at the Vettes. :D

"o.f's" ?

Here's a Newport Custom.... I like the deck-lid trim, but prefer the standard rocker trim vs the body line mouldings...

What do you mean? It's a fraternal twin...

You found yourself a very nice car, and very close to the car from your past. Again, congrats...

You and others here give me inspiration to find the right '68 300, or eventually having to go deep into redoing my original one.

I have a lot of Mopars that the masses find more desirable, but there's something about the '67/'68 Chrysler fast-tops I can't shake.

Another little period correct gem this time given to me by Will (My eternal thanks, sir). And since I was pumping gas in 1967, it has special significance and I remember them well.

But what you need is a period correct one...

The trunk needed attention before it became a major issue.
I did some preliminary scraping to see what I really had and it was not to bad. A rusted out drain hole and that was it.
The crevices tween the trunk pan were dry and solid. The trough under the flow through vents still had its shiny galvanization and the underside of the Dutchman's panel was very clean.
I'll really attack it with a knotted wire brush (open to suggestions on better wheels for heavy scraping. Maybe some sandblasting. Then POR-15. Seam sealer, then splatter paint (I know, not "correct").
