I live in a small town, Aberdeen, Md (13,000) and we have cargo and Amtrak trains that constantly run 2 miles away and I can hear them all the time.

You can also hear machine gun fire and the booms from testing at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. at my house. My friends and family ask me what was that when they hear it. I tell them "That is the sound of Freedom".

They get it....

I've a lived on or near AF bases for 31 years .. and F111's, F15's and the like are very loud too

When family was over they'd often ask "What was that" really startled like when one screamed over really low and hot and I always told them the same thing Bob !

I live near an Air Force Bombing Range. With all the WW II vets living here, gawd forbid one person moves here and complains about "the noise".
Almost all of this County's natives are here because they or their father was stationed here in WW II.

I live just a few miles from Luke Air Force Base. Right now it's an F16 training base but the new F35's are coming soon. They're supposed to be much louder. I guess it means the "Sound of Freedom" will be ringing louder!

Gave it a shot. It does work. May cost me a point at Pebble Beach but I can live with it.

No. I didn't even bother trying to replicate the pattern. It is smoother of course.
From a few feet back I couldn't see the difference though.
That's what I meant about Pebble Beach. The grain is gonna cost me a point

No, I can't see it working with flexible repairs. It dries hard.
