It has been said that buckets seats were never available in Formals.
Truth is that they were. In cop packages.

If anybody has any information, pics, literature, documentation, I would very much like to see it.

Thanks (On a mission from God).

I know it was true...I saw some cruisers in the wreckers over the years so equipped, but back before the digital age of the internet, I never thought to capture the photographic evidence.

I never thought to take my 35mm into the wrecking yard back in the day...after all I was there for parts!

All the police cars and police package fuselage C's I saw in yards over the years and I never, NEVER thought to take a camera. Some had the foresight, I just took them for granted and now they are only legend

Concur Dave .. I should have been taking pictures but I didn't know or rather think at the time this stuff will not be here forever. I remember a ton of cool stuff from junk yards and I walked a lot as most of us have. At the time 1980s and 90's there was stuff in those yards from the 50's .. I just didn't think all of this will be gone soon. Matter of fact in the early 90's the yards in I frequented weekly in the early 90's went from full to to empty in like one year.

I didn't go for about 6 months and the guy in the Burkburnett, TX yard told me there were guys coming down from New Jersey (no joke) and Pennsylvania were coming down with muti-car haulers and buying everything.

Yards with cars that had been there 20-30 years went from full to empty

I have a question.
I know the pics don't give you much to go on but they are all I have ever found after years of searching. (Blame the 4spd NYB for getting me pretty obsessed about this)

Does anybody recognize those seats as being buckets from another model, say a C-body for example? I find it hard to believe Ma Mopar made buckets specifically for a few cop cars. I'm guessing a parts bin raid on the Satellite.

No, I guess not...

I've seen one Formal with buckets in a junkyard. I thought someone was try to make a Sport Formal out of it. The seat material didn't match front to rear seats so I assumed some one put the buckets in it.
