c Center light

I have a 65 Chrysler 300 L
How is the light in the center of the grill is wired
Is it supposed come on when the head lights are turned on or does it come on with the ignition and stay lit

Wired to the ballast resistor on the ignition switch side, not the side that goes to the coil. I've attached the page from the service manual and outlined it in red.

Yes, it's on all the time the ignition is on. I replaced the bulb in mine with an LED to keep the temperature down and hopefully not crack the new lens.
