Having a few issues with the carb on my 66 chrysler 440 4V any thoughts on buying a good rebuilt or possibly a good replacement upgrade it a carter afb

they're about as complex and reliable as a sledge hammer. what could possibly be wrong with it?

I use and like the Edelbrock 1411 750 cfm carb, or it's brother the 1407 without the electric choke. I would swap to the Edelbrock Performer intake too. Note though, that the Performer is higher than the stock intake. That can cause problems, such as the air compressor front mount.

Thanks for all the feedback I ended up adjusting the choke and gave the carb a good dose of carb cleaner and dumped a can of berryman down the carb while it was running and found the mixture screws were way off and replaced the plugs running smooth now
