Carlisle 2025

Good Day All and Happy Independence Day
Last year we stayed at Carlisle Barracks as it is only a couple of miles from the show. There was a gentleman that was also staying there and we were talking about Mopar magazines. I tole him that I had many years of Collectors Guides and other Mopar titles that I would give him if he wanted. He was interested and said he would take them. I told him that I would bring them this year.
Fast forward to today. I have two milk crates of magazines loaded in the 'Barge' but have not heard from him yet. If he backs out, would anyone out there want them? they are FREE with the milk crates thrown in. In any event they are not coming back with me.
Let me know if your interested.
Thanks
Omni

Thru a series of events, too long to go into here, maybe another thread another day, I won't be making the trip with my car. I still may go as a spectator. Will be decided early next week. I'll look you all up if I'm there.

I'll take them.
Thanks Dave.
If he doesn't come through they are yours. The 'Barge' ('65 Newport 4 door sable tan) will be in row B 204.
Thanks again. I would hate to just trash them, but the time has come to start 'house cleaning'.

That's too bad, your 300 is a real pleasure to look at. I myself am trying to diagnose a rear end noise on Tux my Imperial to see if it will keep it home or on the road.

God Day All
Just got back from the 'Band Of Brothers' trip. 1600 miles in about 2 weeks.
Anyway, opened my Carlisle stuff and I see that there have been several changes.
Gate 5 (Calvary Road ?) is now closed. With traffic being re-routed to Gate 3. That will be a mess.
The 'Barge' has been assigned to Row B 504. Anyone else in that row?
Safe travels to all.
Omni
I'll be in B504 Saturday.

I thought you were going to be at a wedding in Italy.

I am, I leave on Tuesday. I thought I’d take a ride on Monday and pick up some stuff from Chrysler’s 100th anniversary, maybe even see some cars come into town.

I'm betting Thursday at noon

I honestly thought it didn't open till Friday morning, official day of the show.
I thought maybe earlier since people start arriving before hand.

You’d think these kids would get married in June or August like normal folks, but no it has to be during the biggest Chrysler event ever.

Can I help you?
The summer party is July 26th. I'm presuming i will see you then.

Can you set up a (small) canopy or sun screen or something like that behind your car on the show field?

Maybe something like this:

With any luck you'll find me @ B500 819.

Along with extra tent pegs bring a hammer and a pry bar to get pegs out of the ground, the ground is very hard. Metal pegs, plastic won't stand up to the pounding.

Yes, pegs are very important. No one wants your tent to scratch/dent their car when the wind picks up. Or your car for that matter.
