Under the video is (surprise) a link to the machine. $5100USD $7300CDN.Some dude in Manitoba can afford a laser rust remover gun? Just how much do those things cost? Do they sell them at Princess Auto now?
And does he really have a laser welder? Never seen one.
Most likely China as the parent company for Ovsuqu is Chinese. They've really come down in price in 2 years then. Where are they made?
A lot of the cost for consumer goods is advertising. It's nothing new. Ever wonder why an identical store brand product is cheaper than the name brand? Cost of advertising is a huge one. (I'm probably still bound by several non-disclosure agreements from years ago, but I can tell you a lot of stuff comes out of the same vat.) XYZ soap has a 30 second commercial during the Superbowl that cost millions, while Walmart's Great Value house brand soap is the same stuff with no advertising. If that much money is being funneled into youtube advertising, guess how much more we're paying at retail for those advertised products to cover that. I say that google's revenue stream goes straight to increasing the CPI because that's where that money has to come from - higher retail prices, and tell me that doesn't cause inflation.
This popped up in my YouTube suggestions. Apparently Alexa is now reading over my shoulder in addition to listening to me.

Advertising is crazy expensive in the traditional areas. I see this as a cheaper way.
Sure would like to see the workings of a real machine.Miller sells one it is 30k These things advertised on FB or YouTube are junk.
I think he bought it only to make the video—which I did find entertaining. “Forty quid for a welder?” Maybe in an alternate universe, but not at the exchange rates in this one.I can't believe he actually wasted forty pounds on that thing! No laser, check, not capable of welding, check, not capable of cutting, check, rust removal, you're kidding right?
Laser anything sucks power like there's no tomorrow. This toy is rated at sixty watts, might be able to weld some thin plastic.

I do have “personalized” ads selected on my YT profile solely to reduce the number of ad categories that I can’t stand, but that’s only partially effective. Chrysler/Dodge adverts are conspicuous by their absence; I get Nissan ones instead along with what you mentioned, not to mention health products that I don’t need.A video talking about laser welders and I'm seeing ads for hand and face moisturizer. Advertizing was once well tracked and deployed in print, tv and radio. With the internet it's a complete farce, filled with bot clicks and un-verifiable views that google nonetheless charges for.
