Does anyone know what color cowls were on 69 300. Im told body color but mine appears to have been repainted black.

The cowl was painted when the rest of the body was painted (body color), THEN the satin black was brushed on (from the way my '70 Monaco looks), not very neatly, but generally.
Brushed? Yes, from the way it looks and considering that this was apparently done outside of a spray booth. Obviously, a "broad brush", it seems.

Like the core support the cowl was sprayed black on lighter color cars.
Here is a 69 Polara I had. It was sprayed at an angle that may get overspray on the face of the firewall, seen by the wiper motor, above the booster and by the hinge.

Thats great. Now i know where the overspray came from ive been scrubbing off haha
