Get well soon Craig. Now as for the police officers, with Robin being a former state trooper, nothing sends her through the roof more than hearing about officers doing something wrong. I hope his injuries heal, and let him get back to his lifestyle. It hurts to get injured and have to give up something you enjoy.

I spoke with Craig yesterday from his hospital bed at a rehab facility. About 40 days ago 4 units worth of his local police department came into his home of 16 years at 6 am through a door he had left open for circulation on a warm summer night. Evidently they were looking for someone and after having gone through the other 2 units in the building with no luck entered Craig’s, dragged him from his bed where he was still sleeping, across a set of concrete steps and into a patrol car. Craig immediately started trying to reason with them but was so brutally handled that at some point in the struggle lost consciousness and awoke seriously injured in a hospital and hasn’t walked since. He underwent back surgery and is about to begin pt for that today and at this moment he doesn’t sound confident that he will ever walk again. He doesn’t have any family but has some good friends that have been helping him with getting things from his home that he’s needed. He has no way of doing business at the moment and has definitely lawyered up!
He also has no way of accessing the Internet but I will be keeping in touch with him. I invite anyone that knows him to reach out via his business phone and leave him a message.

My point is I'm sick of people monday night quarterbacking police situations they dont know crap about and bastardizing police thats lead to this country falling apart with crime. Whatever happened with Craig will be resolved and whom ever was in the wrong whether it be him or the officers will be held accountable and to pretend you all know Craig or many of the people who post on here based just on your interactions on here you are truly clueless. Even good people make bad decisions and mistakes which could have been Craig or the officers because we are all human but the more we bastardize our officers, most of which are selfless public servants with honorable intentions, the worse this country continues to get.

Never claimed to really know someone on a forum as neither do you likely. And I dont need to research rise in crime or criminology I'm much more of a subject matter expert than you know living it daily. And YES blaming the police for something you know no factual details about is talking poorly about them as would be blaming Craig without knowing any of the factual details. Not all of them, but many cops are arseholes, but trusting any cop is definitely against common sense, this isn't the 1950s anymore. Look pal I never said anything bad about the cops. I was basically communicating as best I could what my friend Craig told me over the phone.

So has anyone been able to find any news reports about it? Of course there's more to the story. In time it will all come out. For now Craigs health and recovery is what matters most. All the speculation just makes a horrible situation worse.

Quick update. He was able to take about 14 steps in between the parallel bars yesterday so he should be getting stronger by the day now. I think that’s a good sign!
Man I hope he can make a full recovery.
A friend lent him an iPad yesterday but I’m not sure he can figure out how to use it very well yet although he has gotten into his email account and is several hundred emails deep that he has to go through. The tablet that I/we got him should be delivered today, it’s an android unit that he is familiar with so hopefully we will begin to see him posting here in the next day or two.
