cruise control swap question

Is the 72 Newport cruise control system the same as the 1970 system? I have a car I can get the entire system out of, but I need it to fit my 70.

Short answer is Yes...BUT....the 70's may run a slightly different cruise control "Control" turn signal arm/lever then the 72 though. But other then that it should be "basicly" the same system. Perhaps the mounting of the brake switch might be different...but doubt it.
