Differential question

If a 66 Fury has a .294 ratio differential and I want to change it to a .355 sure grip. other than swapping out the differential will anything else have to be done? Thanks for the help.

You'd have to change the speedo gear in a B body too.

Speedo gear will need to be replaced as well.

There is a chart in the factory parts book that lists the compatable grar ratios and speedo pinions, with color and part numbers. (speedo pinion gears can be identified by color as well as the number of teeth). Whatever pinion you need can usually be located on line.

Thanks for the replies. The 294 is not a sure grip. It is now my brother's car but he wants to get a different gear so I'll let him know. Down the road, I plan to sell my .323 sure grip in the Fury I bought for a .355 Dana
