I am sure this has been around, but I have a 65 Newport and an Edelbrock four barrel is installed and I cant seem get the transmission or 4 barrel cutting in linkeage working. I took the car to a mechanic and he jury rigged it to run but no passing gear, doesn't shift like it and no passing gear. Any help appreciated and I love the car.

Did you get the Chrysler-specific adapter (p/n 1481)? Talk to their tech support guys, they're pretty helpful.

I saw that but it said from 1966 so wasn't sure it would work for 65, if so will give them a call and see what they have to say. I have read where others have said to go with Lokar throttle and kickdown cable, so not sure that way to go.

According to the numbers on the plate it is navy blue poly. Its faded in spots but I did compound a small spot and it does look like medium blue. Be glad when there is cooler weather and less humidity to get working on it. Been talking out all the make does that have been added thru the years and its running pretty good now.

I believe it was a 2 bbl to start with, so that's the problem. The tag tells me it was, so where do I go from here, find 4 bbl linkeage?
