Is your roof painted or vinyl? Would you be ok posting a pic of your fender tag or at least posting the option codes here?

Thanks for that. If your car is a Polara, then this is (to me) the first documented vinyl top on a Polara I think, something that's been speculated as not possible. This raises a new dimension for how to read the paint code (MM1 in your case) when you have a vinyl top. I didn't think they painted the roof when you had a factory vinyl top.

Might have something to say?

It's not a two tone paint job, so it gets the monotone paint code, that's what the 1 designates. 2 would be for a two tone color combo. The vinyl top is called out in the fender tag, and is separate from the paint code.

 I just copied and pasted what thrashingcows posted for me in the old drydock "Found my Broadcast Sheet" decode thread.

I don't have many pictures of my own rides. Most are from others that take them and then send them to me. If I ever want to see them, I just go out to the garage. Here are a few shots that I like of each.

My 67 2 door Hardtop has code WP2, for white top and red body two tone. I assumed it was a white painted top but may never know, because a previous owner stripped the car and epoxy primed it in black. Having said that it has the division moulding for the roof to quarter panel to provide a break for either a two tone paint, or a vinyl top, whatever that might have been.

Page 3 of the option sheets discuss two tone paint for $21.55. Then right under that says Trim, Vinyl (4 door sedan and hardtops only); which is kind of ambiguous. Does that mean 4 door sedan, and 2 door and 4 door hardtops, or just 4 door sedan and 4 door hardtops? And does Trim, Vinyl refer to the seats or a Vinyl Roof?

The next line down is for Trim, Vinyl - Buckets seats (Monaco 4 door hardtop)

Personally, I think bright red with a white top is kind of tacky. Same with green with a white top. Blue or maroon with a white top, I understand that. No maroons in 67 though. I may have to remedy that so I can keep the white top. 68 has a nice maroon...

My current daily driver, Newport Custom -68. On studded tires at present.

I leave the hub caps and fender skrifts off when snowy, to make it easier to keep clean.

As I found my first 61 Fury.
Saving from being scrapped.
I nicknamed the 61 the Black Hole. It’s black full of rust holes
and will be a black hole of money to fix.
