Fitting 440 to 66 Fury lll.

Hi guy's,:hello:

See my intro in new members.
I have a 66 Fury lll with the standard 318 and auto trans fitted.
I have located a 440 with trans to install in it's place, it's the closest i'll ever get to a Charger or Roadrunner.
Can you guy's give me any info on the process?
Do i just need new motor mounts, or will it be more involved, such as altering the sump or cross member?
I have tried searching but with no luck.

Schumacher makes it quick and easy for ya:

The only change I can think of is you may (and only may) have to change either your radiator or your water pump housing for the hoses to match up. That 44o is gonna run HOT! Go for a a radiator anyway.

All you need are factory car engine brackets/mounts from any '66-'72 383/400/440.

The K/subframe variation between smallblock and bigblock began in '73.

The trucks and vans were obviously different.

The replaceable rubber mount that bolts to the brackets can be bought new and are inexpensive.
