I have always wondered the difference btwn. hubcap & wheel cover - glad someone else asked that - makes perfect sense when you think about it (which I hadn't) , - another mystery solved!

People glancing at my screen might have thought I had an alternative lifestyle....

Now that the images have been "edited", I could be labeled a misogynist.

All the while I'm just focused on hubcaps!

Hubcaps cover just the center part of the wheel, or the hub area.
Wheel covers cover that too, plus the rest of the wheel.

Things can be groovy without any coverings.....

Back on pointie,I had a 86 Daytona, that always would loose the hub caps on the aluminium rims. I used dalups of silicon glue on the prongs to secure them, a thought. Hub caps verses wheel covers, hmmm.

the st gen Toyota Sienna steel rims had issues holding onto their "Wheel covers"
I bought a full set on FleaBay to have on hand for mine.
Sold the remaining stock after trading it in to a local guy that still owned one
I got what I paid for the 4 by selling only 2:lol:

So today I had to remove the caps again to check the nut torque after the first 70mls and I'm pretty convinced by now that they'll stay in place. Had to pry them off the wheels with a long screwdriver. Pulling with bare hands didn't make them move even a millimeter.
