i was told 72 . should be an 8 3/4 re . bob i know it hurts . but its not a gt or a high optioned out car . its a nice rust free car that no one wanted . he tries selling it for some time . but no takers . so its going to refurbish other that are more desirable you might say , its engine is not the one it came with , had a 318 . this 400 is another stroker just waiting to happen . trans is a good long bushing pump 71 up . r/e has the same axle lengths are the early p/u flange type axles . and a housing that cut to every other body type mopar . in fact those discs and the rest of that disc set up . can put disc brakes on my 67 300 rag that aren't a fortune to build like the budd setup . lighter as well . bob do you want the car ? like i said its just parts to me . and if you would give me the parts i'm taking . i'll sel you the car whole . hows that . and locumob , it is just nuts n bolts and a lot of them . i do like mopar fasteners n hardware for future projects . you can't get enough of that stuff , lol . so bob its this verses that , i'll take the rag over a ht any day of the year , here in sunny calif .

If you won’t so far away I’d just might buy it.

well i did this cherry new yorker too . nice driven car . again no one was interested . but the engine/trans went in my 69 d200 crewcab . made it into a runner . so the fury will make great parts for a not so great fury , and the rest of the parts will make some of mine , lol .

Neither one will be on the track anytime soon. Hopefully in a few months FURYIOUS will produce a timeslip

I’ve had some time to spend on Furyious lately. I got the steering shaft installed using an aluminum plate at the firewall with a bearing & I made a bracket out of angle aluminum to fit a collar bearing & bolt up to the stock column mount. I moved the seat back as far as I could without having to reengineer the seat mounts. Would be nice to have another inch. Help balance the car too.

And I’m just starting on the install of the glass front bumper. I mocked up a set of lite steel brackets. Not going to work. Got to go to plan B. Need something stronger. The reach is too far. Think span. Due to the long overhang of the nose from the stock bumper mount location. I’ll come up with something. Also the bumper is a bit too wide. I’ll fix that next winter. Not in the plans right now

So a little update
The weight savings so far
Aluminum steering box 16 pounds
Manual brake conversion 19 pounds
Stripped steering column 10 pounds
45 pounds total plus maybe another by using aluminum seat mounts
Glass front bumper 55 pounds
That 101 pounds. Not too shabby. More to come
