If you change many things at once, the first item may fix the problem and the second can re-introduce a similar issue, net result is "Nothing I do Fixes My Problem". One step at a time so you know what fixes it if it's fixed.

makes sense and I figured that might be the idea. the reason i wanted to richen it up was that the 1411 by all accountsis lean to begin with. Coupled with the fact that the ethanol in the fuel leans it out even more. I was hoping that richening it up would help with the "pinging" on hard acceleration. Timing is correct.
