Not sure if Balls 8 is still being used, but the plane in the photos in your link is a H model. I believe Balls 8 is a B model.

Have you seen the pictures of Bismarck as it was discovered on the bottom of the ocean? All 4 turrets are gone; empty holes exist in the barbettes. Apparently, as the ship rolled over they all fell out.

I found that very interesting as that meant they were merely balanced in place, not "bolted." I would image the above Cruiser was the same.

the documentary i seen said the just the weight of the turret held them in place
