Thank you to all who came to the Hemi Show today. Sorry I didn't get to meet you guys in person. Very busy all day. We had 169 registered cars this year, a few more than last year. The dyno operator backed out at the last minute, health issues.

I was pretty happy with the food vendors. Dickies is always good, I had the street tacos from the MiFamilia guy. They were very good. Did you guys try the food?

Last year we bought the sound system we were using. I think it might need some improvement. Could you guys hear it where you were? The choice in music was much more to my liking this year. Not the normal car show 50's doowap stuff.

Let me know what you guys thought of the show. Either on here or PM me.

Link to my pictures below. Even the two rusty crusty ones across the street in the parking lot.

Back in the '79 time frame, I concluded that if I later found a Cordoba close to what I would have ordered in '76, I'd like to buy it. Unfortunately, those were few and far between, if ever. About the same as a '70 "Beak Bird" T-bird. A good Cordoba 300 might have substituted. But as other long-term issues evolved, never did get there. Still like the cars a lot. They represent a more energetic/positive time in my then-young life. Driving a Cordoba, back then, meant that one was headed toward better things in the future, by observation.

Those earlier Cordobas were one of the FEW cars that were aspirational for younger professionals/families and also welcomed by "downsizing" couples in their later (Marcus Welby generation) years. The '90s Chrysler 300Ms seemed to have the same multi-generational appeal, by observation. Never saw that happen with GM cars, with a few Fords, ever.

Still wouldn't mind one, as long as it was a 400. A 400HO would be great, if it wasn't a bench seat car, too. But those dreams are mostly faded now, from other realities of later life.

Thanks for posting up these photos. The wife and I sure miss Arizona. I lived there from 2000 -2007.

I'll be back...
