How many 72-73 Imperials will be FOR SALE between now and into 2018?

Who got that? Someone from here? Disappeared and never heard anymore about it

Doc, do you have any info to go with this picture?

A friend of mine sold a very similar car about 8 years ago, and I know that it ended up in France. This pic certainly looks like Europe.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,
Unfortunately not so much on this one...I called on a similar yellow one with white top last year for sale in Alabama I believe...think he wanted 10-15K But it had some rust issues...There's about a dozen Sunfire Yellow ones I watch for (2dr and 4dr) to pop up from time to time.

Any word on the 72 yellow sunroof coupe that Phil is parting out? Just wondering what was left, Please one of you guys save it!!

That's my buddy's car! It still has the AARP and Amoco stickers on the rear bumper. It's been treated to a new paint job and they painted the top instead of replacing the vinyl. I'll have to show him the pics when I see him on Friday. He stole that car, paid $600 for it around 2000-2001. As you can see, it has Anti-lock brakes, but the system was bypassed. It's dirty from sitting in my car barn for almost ten years, and it's also obvious that it needed a new choke pull-off.

Those were taken in Feb 2010, when I dug it out of the car barn so he could put it up for sale. I think he only ever drove it twice. First from the seller's house in Boyertown, PA to my house back around 2001/2002, then the second time to his house, where it went up on ebay. A local guy who exports cars and parts to France bought it and likely sold it to the current owner. My friend was actually up at the guy's shop last week checking out some Chargers that were for sale. Home - American Cars and Parts

My friend found the car listed in one of the Penny Shopper papers for $600. The add didn't even say that it was a coupe. The car turned out to be much nicer than we expected, and I think we were the only ones that ever called about it. For a life-long PA car, it was quite solid, though the quarters were just starting to go behind the wheels, and it had quite a bit of rust under the vinyl top above the rear window.

I have been thinking about trying it for a couple of years... I love the label, but can't get my head around chocolate and beer ... the local ABC always seems to have it.
I don't know if I would like the chocolate in the beer.... but I have washed down a piece of chocolate cake down with a beer or two and actually it was pretty good! Who'd a thunk

The houses in the background indicate this car is not in the US. We can fairly assume it will not meet the fate of the nice yellow '72 Sunroof Coupe currently being destroyed.

This is the one that Jeff had contact with I believe before it went overseas...he needs to confirm it. But, I think the rear bumper sticker matches. Amoco sticker.

Great work finding that video Doc!

That car really does have nice chrome on it for being from the north east, which I do remember from when it was here. My memory was off on some other things though. When I saw my friend on Friday, he corrected me on items that I had wrong. He bought the car in 1999, not in the 2000's, and that's born out by the 1999 PA inspection sticker still on the windshield. I do remember that it was still valid when we brought it home. The car was actually advertised in Hemming's, not in one of the Penny Shoppers. At the time I was looking for an engine for the gunmetal '72 I had bought, and that's why my friend called about the yellow one, expecting it to basically be a parts car. My memory was correct that my friend was the only one who ever called about it. We stopped to get dinner on the way home and the car didn't want to start again when it was time to leave. I think the problem turned out to be a bad ignition box or bad connection. That may have been why the car was up for sale at a cheap price. The seller lived in a kind of redneck area where it may have been tough to find someone to figure out what was wrong with the car.
