I rescued another one

This 71 AMC Matador 2 door hard top has been sitting in the field for over a decade. I got tipped off about it. Went to look at it 2 weeks ago. Surprised at the condition. Made a deal with the owner. Weather prevented me from getting it until today. I don’t restore cars. I rescue cars & race cars. Will be working on getting the proper paper work done to be legal for the street & I’ll start gathering parts as I find them & fixing what I can as I prepare it for it’s next owner.

I do find the styling of that vintage Matador attractive. Can't really explain it. Thank you for rescuing it. Appears pretty solid!

Yep it’s not a bad looking car. It’s very restorable

I’ll start gathering parts as I find them & fixing what I can as I prepare it for it’s next owner.

Yep not going to be easy. That’s why I need to start soon & gather what I can find.

I happen to have a good Motorola alternator in my stash. Now will it fit this car I don’t know

Well....I haven’t worked that out yet. 3 in the last 3 months. Charger, Imperial & Matador. And I had 6 pics sent to me tonite from a friend who found some more. I also found a WWII style Power Wagon. Sitting for years. It’s a 48. They’re out there fellas. You gotta turn over rocks as they say.

I sold the 360 M/T and the gas tank ! Otherwise it's complete 4dr A/C car solid.

Ok let me look it over & see what it needs. Also I probably better wait till I get the paper work back from the DMV before I start buying too much.
