I'm not a metal man but...

I'd say you ARE a metal man, would like to see the machines used to make that metal. Very nice work!

Here are the machines and out of the picture is table vise. Block of wood on the floor is also important part of the process (that's hammering block before

English wheel). And one tool out of picture is imagination!

Windshield corners ready and waiting for final sandblasting and epoxy. Then next project...rear window surrounding...sad looking, amazingly trunk floor is not so bad. Only driver side rear quarter is rusty, but hey, they all are! My second piece with English wheel, I used the tape method to copy a surface.
Be careful out there and regards,
Mika

For someone who claims not to be a Metal Man, there’s some pretty nice work my friend. Just saying

Thanks, yes that looks sad but this time I will make some ventilation holes, proper painting and sealing, new vinyl...and after that...keeping that in try garage. Hope that it will survive another 50 years!
Regards
Mika

A little progress here, rear window corners almost done. First try with a TIG and silicone bronze brazing. There was rust spots under old vinyl top (...and most of them because someone put it a new vinyl top and when he removed old glue he also removed some factory painting..)
I wire brushed those spots to bare metal and then reinforced them with silicone bronze.
Regards
Mika

This week I gave him some sand, so it's much easier continue..
More sad looking areas but no problem , let's make some welding!
Another piece of metal from plywood jig ( you know, I'm "wood "man...)
...and welding started..

Welding continues...a few difficult pieces done ( I mean difficult to me). Also testing some tig brazing with silicone bronze, some small pits filled with that. Upper part of the firewall is also challenging but let's see what can I do..
