I'm not a metal man but...

Some things we have learned or reminded here….

1. IF You are not a metal man….you are now.
2. Patience is a virtue….proof is here! It takes guts and determination, lots of “never give up”.
4. Winters must be cold and you are stuck in snow - because you have created an amazing work shop and appear focused and working methodically. (just kidding on snow comment - but love the shop).
5. If married - You must have married an angel.

Last a not least - truly If this was a video series - it work rank #1 worldwide. That is for certain!

Love following this thread. Learning a lot. Thanks Mika For sharing.

Kind words, humble thank you :)!
First of all, yes I married an angel, lucky me!
Second, here's in this site is lots of talent and knowledge and I have learned a lot too, thanks for that guys! Sounds good if my work helps someone else project.
..about patience...I'm getting old, it was something else like 30 years ago :D!
Regards,
Mika

...Lower Control Arms repaired, there was lots of side play and I just couldn't leave it that way. I know, torsionbar tension will keep that side play most of the time but not always...so..men's gotta do what man's gotta do:). Now that side play is gone, notice grease nipple for future service! Also sway bar connections repaired and reinforced. Door jambs finally painted, love the color...

Mika

I would rather say they are for the lock rings on the power steering box!
They did look a little aggressive for the sending unit lock ring but you europeans tend to over-engineer things so that’s where my head went first.

This was a good and fast service! My friends were on vacation in the California and they took my old idler arm for rebuilding in Rare Parts. I asked RP how long it takes to rebuild that, they said "6-8 weeks ". So, guys went to RP and asked is there any chance to do it faster....what happens....it was Wednesday when they dropped it and Friday it was ready to go !
That's what I call service!
...and happy to have friends like this!
