Insulting Members, Not Cool!

I am on this site due to my love of our C Bodies. I usually stay away from politics and controversy however I noticed something today that really bothered me. A member has added a tag line to the bottom of his posts insulting the intelligence of another member. This is all a result of differing political views. It's fine to disagree but name calling and personal insults have no place here. I hope most of you will agree.

It's possible to express an opinion without disrespecting other people and their opinions. That's part of civilized discussion. You might want to consider that before commenting sometimes.

I don't think you can see taglines from (outdated) cell phones like mine, so I guess it's just another measure of how my life suffers because of old technology.

In my years, I always found it's easiest to just call the people out in question and get it out in the open. Discuss it, shake hands and either resolve it or agree to disagree... Whatever. We're adults and I hope to think we are all friends.

I won't comment here behind their backs.

Well I didn't want to metion any names in public and I'm glad I didn't. It's been brought to my attention that I may have misunderstood the comment and there was actually no disrespect intended. If so I apologize. I do hope though that this thread will help us try to always treat each other with respect even in disagreement.
