I came really close to choosing a 57 Hudson when picking my first classic car. I ended up choosing the Chrysler because it needed less work, was in better condition and I figured the parts would be easier to find. I do like the look of this truck personally, although I ain't got the coin for it.

Nice pickup , the 37 is my favorit but out of my range...…..

Looks to have an after market coil that looks like a rattle can next to the oil filler cap. Nice truck though.

In the winter of 1976, with lots of snow and ice on the roads and no salt, I came across a guy parked on the 89 outside of the Safeway store in Richfield Utah in a 1937 Hudson pickup. It was a sand color and looked really good. A trailer was attached to the back of it with a 1950 Commodore on the back. Hooked to the back of the trailer was another Commodore. I walked over and had a look at the cars because I've always had a soft spot for Hudsons and I knew where there were quite a few around at that time having worked on ranches in and out of state. Turned out I knew where they were from further North. The guy had just bought the Commodore's and was from California. This was just before the freeway was built so looking at the bleak weather I asked him how he was going to get over the mountain heading south because it was very often hard to get out in these conditions. He said , When I get to the bottom of the pass , I'll get out and fire up the one at the back and block the accelerator with just enough revs so that I will be pulling and it will be pushing. I had to go that way early next morning and he was nowhere to be found so he had obviously made it. Wish I had a photo!

Here's a close cousin. '38 Studebaker truck I saw at a local show.

That's a nice truck. I've always like the Hudsons as my ex b-i-l always had several of them around. Had many chances to ride in them which I thought was a great smooth ride.

My bosses uncle has 2, one is stock and the other is a driver with a 350/turbo 350 swapped in.
