Probably only NOS part but I'm asking anyway: is this available anywhere? Probably same from-69 to -73? Same part in both ends of the propeller shaft. If I understand correctly, parts book only gives number for complete yoke assembly, front and rear.
Another question: is there room for lubricating nibble, new universal joints have them but originals don't?
Thanks,
Mika

Many original u-joints, like suspension ball joints, from the factory, had a small bolt in the hole to seal the joints. For servicing, the bolt/plug was removed, a zert screwed in, the joint greased, the zert removed, and the bolt/plug re-installed. That way, no way for moisture to intrude. But, usually, once the bolt was removed at the first grease job, a zert was installed and stayed there.

Seems like the FSM mentions the bolt/plug being removed and re-installed after the grease is put into the joint?

On some vehicles, the OEM u-joints had no provision to add grease to them without removal from the driveshaft. Some were solid metal (desired by some drag racers for their perceived strength) as others had the place where a zert could be installed IF the joint had been machined for it. Usually, the greaseable u-joints were installed and greased at almost every oil change, typically.

Enjoy!
