Jezebelle........

Gary: I think the only difference between the U-Code engine and the non-HP 440 is perhaps the cam, dual exhaust and the twin snorkel air cleaner. Wil has taken care of all these items. . . Oh. . . And also the HP exhaust manifolds.
yeah, but i believe the HP code option makes it worth more due to it's rarity, but that's just me. That said, Will, you know i love the car myself, I've asked enough questions from you as you know. If I had the dough, I'd be coming to see ya ! Best of luck....

I consigned a car, 69 Six pack Super Bee, to a auction, with a reserve, once. I will never go through that again. The fast pace and pressure to drop the reserve and sell is just to much for this ol boy. I sold the car, made a profit, and it took way to long to get paid.

Another option would be to consign the car to someone like a Wayne Carrini from Chasing Classic Cars and let them deal with the auction company. Just a thought.

If it were my car, I'd put it on eBay with a reserve or a high buy it now price with a make an offer option right away with a ton of pictures and all the information you can provide.

So let me think, if I sold the Flyin' Whale '66 300, my one owner low miles '87 Fifth Avenue, my '68 VIP coupe drivable low mileage project from Florida and my '71 Fury III "23" roof project and some parts I could likely get into ballpark of making a fair offer on the 300.

Damn it Big John. You are putting thoughts into my head that are driving me crazy. All of my cars are stored away in garages that I would have to clear 2' snow drifts to get to. Maybe I should be some lottery tickets.

If this car can really bring $80K or at least in the ball park, Will should not accept anything less than $30K IMO. But the Europeans are the likely buyers, and Will would prefer she would stay in the U.S.

Wow...... That's a beauty Steve.

I am a little conflicted about Jezebelle leaving the country. She evokes wonderful memories, but also painful memories. Her reason for being is no longer with us and I can no longer enjoy her as she was meant to enjoy. Seeing her will always bring back a flood of memories and perhaps if she goes far enough away It will help close that chapter.

I have an OEM 440HP camshaft, will include it.

I hear you Will. I have found that since most of my cars end up going overseas, though, I actually end up seeing them quite often. The guys that get them are so excited at what they have purchased that they want to keep sharing their adventures with their new cars with me. They send me videos of their cruises and I see a bunch of the cars I have sold in the past in those events. I don't misrepresent my cars and they appreciate that, so they are really want me to know how pleased they are to have them. Your car is obviously extremely nice, so don't be surprised that you might see them more than you think, in fact, more than if you sold them to people over here. It wasn't what I would have expected though either.

Will,
You've definitely got a challenging sale ahead of you due to the memories and the values of the car. I'm with Dave on value something the $20k range. Maybe when you finally advertise it put a note absolutely firm on the price zero haggling will be tolerated.

I always leave some haggling room. On this car, I would consider putting it on Bring a Trailer. I've already seen the money shot pictures on the beach. That and the story will sell waaaay better than eBay or even an auction house. It takes a bit more effort than eBay. A nice short video, plenty of pictures and an active seller to respond will surpass your expectations. I've done it myself. If you need any help or have questions Will, I'd be glad to help.

Hi Will,

if you want to get the biggest attention it would be useful IMHO to put it on ebay.
At least if you want to reach out to european buyers, too. It is the most often checked source.

Auctions like Mecum&co are usually not attended by europeans except dealers.
Sites like BAT aren't used by europeans either.

Finally a bunch of guys check craigslist, too.

But I would put it up on ebay with a long, excellent, detailed description as well as lots of pictures. Make sure you can have a photoalbum attached with pics of the resto etc so that people get a better idear of how good it is and how carefull it was redone.
Documentation is the key IMHO. I would do a reserve auction.

I think your 300 is a very nice driver. The sales price will probably somewhere between 20-25k$ as man have guessed already.

Well several sellers on Bat are europeans, on a regular basis. The real beauty on Bat, is the bidders get charged a commission (their credit card gets a clearance or the bid doesn't happen) & they can't retract bids like eBay. It is far more a done deal for a seller than eBay. The site does get a premium over what eBay gets. I've seen cars just sit on eBay , listing after listing & then show up on Bat & sell for a good bit more than the buy it now on eBay. I've sold at both. Since the car has not been advertised anywhere, I'd try Bat first, otherwise someone can post the links to the old adds on Hemmings or eBay onto the Bat add.

I posted a link to an old thread in the "restoration" section. I'm putting together a more current folder but this will represent Jezebelle to Dec 2016. Upgrades continued from there.
Search.... Jazebelle, bluefury361, restoration.
