Jezebelle........

I've had my eyeballs on Jezebelle several times over the years.

Pure perfection.....I haven't seen a better built, maintained and loved 300 on the planet!

I know it's worth more than $30,000.

No one couldn't build a duplicate for less than that amount!

You can ask $30k and let them beat you up on whatever minor flaws you think it has. When the dust settles you should be in the low $20's and both feel like you got a good deal.

Kevin

Thanks Kevin. It's going to be tough enough letting her go without having to defend her. A fair price to a good home is what I'm hoping for. She's an old car that needs to be loved.

She was awarded a first in class at Carlisle in 2014, several class awards at various all Mopar shows, a founders award at Mobile, Best C body several times, and was invited and participated in the Concours de'Elegance of America in Plymouth Michigan.
If that doesn’t say 30k + I don’t know what does.

Hey Will, for us that don't remember all the options and such, can you give us a run down on all it has? It will help for sure.

Sure Gary.
She's pretty loaded. Factory A/C, disc brakes, (converted w/correct bendix booster), 3:23 sure grip, full TTI exhaust, (HP manifolds), base 350 hp 440 with 750 edlebrock and a OEM dual snorkel. console w/performance indicator, TT wheel, power windows, right and left 6 way seats w/pass recliner. AM radio w/aux adaptor. Later road wheels. recent 235 75 15 Cooper white walls. Legendary seat covers, recent correct top.

All that comes to mind right now.
A search, (69 300 convertible, bluefury361) will bring up extensive photos of her restro.

Our overseas C body brothers would probably take notice of a $30,000 BIN on Ebay.
If you wait for a Nigerian enthusiast he might even offer you $40,000.
Red 300 convertibles of that caliber aren't exactly falling off trees now days, GLWS!

Will, Like many others, I wish I had the money. If you were not looking to get out of this hobby I offer a trade of a diesel pusher motorhome + a C Body.

I, like Dave was thinking a minimum of something in the $20k+ range. The car is re-sale red with a very desirable white interior, road wheels and some really nice options so IMHO this is one of those cars that could trigger a bidding war. Sadly, I also agree that it is likely to end up in Europe.

With a car like this, I think the best option, baring a strong offer from someone here around $25k that you know would be a great caretaker, would be eBay auction or a MECUM auction with a reserve as this car could exceed everyone's expectations. The timing of selling this car is perfect with Spring just around the corner. With a hard to price car like this and reference guides being worthless plus some really strong auction prices on some Hursts I would strongly advocate an eBay auction or MECUM auction so that if the bidding runs away, your retirement fund really grows. Just my 2 cents. I wish you luck and hope you set a new sales record.

Bill

I hate to say it, but the positive I see in an overseas buyer, aside from $$, is the chances of her being properly loved as opposed to a misguided investment/flip item seem better. I really hope the right person see's this and reaches out to you.

I'd like to think you'd have a full mailbox by now with several interested applicants. If not, I suppose you'll get the sincere "Is the car still available?" in a year or two.

Besides if it goes over seas it's less likely to end up with 28" wheels and a lift kit.

IMHO, I think the car is worth every penny of 20k+ and at that price, regardless of which continent is sells on, the buyer will be a proper caretaker because that's the high side of the c-body market so flippers won't be interested.

Unfortunately, like everyone else has stated, I'm in no financial position to make an offer. :(

I am not a fusey fan, and not a red car fan, and with no roof I'm definitely out.
That being said I have seen the car in person and it is gorgeous and very cool, could even make me cool. G.L.W.S. Will.

I would try one of the big auctions....with a solid reserve.

I consigned a car, 69 Six pack Super Bee, to a auction, with a reserve, once. I will never go through that again. The fast pace and pressure to drop the reserve and sell is just to much for this ol boy. I sold the car, made a profit, and it took way to long to get paid.

First... It's a beautiful car that I've admired since I first saw it. It also inspired me to do more with my car than I would have after seeing it and reading about it.

I can't make a good home for it, so I won't even dream, but if I were looking for another 300 convertible, this car would be on its way here now.

That said... IMHO, the market for C-bodies is what it is... The car may be worth $30k, but finding a buyer for it at that price might not happen.

Realistically, the car could probably sell quickly at the right price. I think $22.5K might do it.

I wouldn't sell it at auction.

Some thoughts for folks thinking about buying this car... I see a lot of "project cars" that people have. Quite often multiple cars... Take any one of those cars and add up the realistic money that you will spend on getting any one of your cars to this point.

IMHO, float a loan (home equity loans are good) and buy this car and then sell the half dozen projects that are sitting around and pay off the loan. You'll be ahead of the game financially and be out spending time with the top down and having fun.

If this was a U code car then I would have said $25K all day long. So I think it is still worth close to that though.

Gary: I think the only difference between the U-Code engine and the non-HP 440 is perhaps the cam, dual exhaust and the twin snorkel air cleaner. Wil has taken care of all these items. . . Oh. . . And also the HP exhaust manifolds.
