I'm having an issue with lower ball joints on my car. I ordered a set online that disappointingly were wrong. The problem is every place shows the same lower ball joint and says it covers 65-73 C-bodies. These lower ball joints are nothing like mine. My lower control arms look like a traditional mopar lower control arm but the ball joint unit is only about 4-5 inches long. The ones that were shipped to me and every other one I could find is about 12 inches long and has an extra eyelet for a bolt on the spindle side of the ball joint that my control arms don't have.

I noticed there is a lot of "65 only" stuff on this car. Are the lower ball joints one of these items?

Do any of these look like yours?

This is where a formal shines. The down side is you have to make 100 more horsepower to move the bumpers.

The lower ball joints on my '65 300 are the units your are describing; large units with eyelets on each side.

Sounds like someone has put something different under there some time in the past. What's shown above is pretty much what they look like - can't remember seeing any that are only about 4 - 5 inches long.

Has to be ... has to be ... a changed front end -- undoubtedly '74 & up with press fit ball joint.....

IINM, and I could be, but I seem to remember when ordering mine, that the '65-'73 cars with drums and later '69-'73 disc cars use one type of ball joint, while early disc brake cars ('65?-'68) use a different ball joint. It's been awhile, but I don't think I dreamed it. :) LOL
