"Maciej,
Here is what I have found about my fathers (William) career at Chrysler Corporation. My father and mother moved from Northern Michigan (in the upper peninsula) down to the Detroit area because of the growth of the automobile industry. They moved when William was 20 years old. He started his career at Chrysler in late 1943 at the Jefferson Assembly Plant working in the Body Department where the body of the car is welded together. This area of the plant was called "Body in White". After a few years he was promoted into management as a Line Foreman. Then he was promoted to Superintendent over the final production area of the plant.
He retired from Chrysler in late 1985 after 42 years of service at the Jefferson Assembly Plant.
When your 1973 Imperial was built, William was allowed to follow it's progress from the "Body in White" Department through the "Paint Department" and through the entire assembly line. After many years of watching thousands of Imperials being built it was time for him the watch his dream car being built from the ground up and then drive it off of the assembly line. I hope that this brief work history of William Borowski is what you are looking for and can be used in the newspaper for the article on the 1973 Imperial. Also, so that you know, all of the "Pin-striping" that is on your Imperial was hand installed by William. He was a Pin-striping expert and it was amazing to watch him pin stripe a car."
