MECUM RESULTS

I ran into a lot of restos in the 80's where the clocks were spun back to zero because "Dude, everything's new". Now 30 years later they're O'ridgenal....
Thank you... too many azzhats worrying about odometers on 40-60 year old cars. Nothing counts if you can't fully document the car's life to get to those low miles. :realcrazy:

Other than a nice preserved original with lots of documentation... mileage only counts when it's under warranty. If we had 6 digit odometers, I'd be tempted to roll mine to 900,000 and let folks comment on how nice she is for all those miles :drama:

All of the low mileage cars I saw at Mecum were quite evident that they were original low mileage cars. Not like the usual rusted out shitboxes that we normally see in CL ads claiming 15,000 miles when its actually 115,000 miles.

Had to sit through on the live auction feed of a lot of less than a decade old cars with very low miles not selling.
via their website last night only 1 out of 4 of the Hertz/Hurst(?) very rare Mustangs sold.
The million dollar plus (featured) 'rari didn't go either. Odd to see that in a auction where the auctioneer is *****'in about 1k bid increments all day long.
Noticed last night there were less & less 'side deals' going on. Running out of money?

Everything looks better on tv and under the bright lights, even diamonds at the jewelry store. Cubic zirconia looks just as nice as the real thing. Just sayin.
I find it hard to believe all those cars with the low mileage were just waiting to gotten out of the barn.

Very true. As a regular at the Barrett Jackson circus I can say this is absolutely true. Thursday I will be there and will try to take some pictures to document this fact.
