They gotta know some of the back story. Who was the last owner? Dead or alive? I need more....
 
Agree, so the titled owner is where? Jail? In the ground with no relatives? When was this on the road last?
 
The owner with the help of Hagerty was located yesterday.
 
Makes sense, who in their right mind would dump this car?

Obviously there isn't a title with it. I would absolutely need more info. It seems feasible if the guy is alive, he may have stole it and keeping it in storage under false name, of course he wouldn't claim it.

I would hope that the police do a title search on this car. I have a cousin who buys cars from impound police lots. It is a different situation and he can re-title these cars and then resell them.

On the other hand, this car has been getting a lot of attention, if it was stolen I would think the original owner would end of hearing about it.

I'm not in the market but just 2 questions is it stolen and can it be titled?

Richard M. Gaskill From another Hagerty article "Hagerty parts specialist Davin Reckow examined the car and estimated "it's worth about $10,000 as it sits." The Plymouth has seen plenty of body work, both good and rudimentary—"For instance, the new panels that were put in have been pop-riveted," he says—and it still has some rust. It has been painted at least twice since it wore a different shade of red in the showroom.
