Here is where the fun begins:crybaby2: First Pic is the drivers door ( I already have a new one). Pic 2 and 4 shows more of the awesome body work the previous owner had done. Thats the rear fender drivers side. Pic 3 is the rear door on the drivers side. I think he may have played bumper cars with something on that side???

That is quite possibly the scariest '66 Fury project I have ever seen.
Godspeed.my son...

It's not scary, it's a learning experience. I learned that if a little bad bondo is showing, then there is probably more not showing. Well it's showing now. Crap....

Over the weekend I got all the bondo off the rear fender. Holy crap, there were a couple of places where it was an inch thick. I have a few pics of what I accomplished, here ya go...

And a couple more. see how deep! thats was as far as I got. the wind picked up and the sun went down so I called it a night. I did get a little black primer down, just to slow any more corrosion.

7mag, just checked out your thread. yeah steele / water don't play well together, along with shady repairs leaves us with all the fun. Your car looks great by the way. I hope mine turns out half as good.

Cheers, I had a lot of frustrating fun doing it, and I really miss have a project in the shed, But I do have a few little things to do/fix when I get around to it.

Holy body filler Batman!!

That can be made into a cool ride. Keep us updated! I dig '65/66 C's...well all C bodies honestly!!

You've done the hardest part already...getting started! After that it never seems quite so bad. :BangHead: LOL Good luck and have fun with your project.
