Hi everyone! I thought I’d share what I do when I’m not working my “day job,” or making fitful attempts at trying to get my ‘68 New Yorker back on the road. About 18 years ago I started learning how to create computer generated artwork. I’d always been into aviation art. Over time I learned how to create 3D models of planes and scenery.
Fast forward 14 years, and what began as a hobby turned into creating commissioned work for an author and a collector. The artwork was successful, and I began selling it through my website (www.johnmatthewsart.com).
I’ve attached some of my work here. Some finished, some just “doodles,” or studies for work I’m composing. Enjoy!
Safe skies!
