Need a pentastar fender emblem...

I need to round one up soon to ship to the body shop before he hangs my fender. My old one is trashed. Are the plastic repos worth a ****? Or should I just bend over and buy a NOS piece?

That would be the equivalent of buying a 9 dollar repo with free shipping and I don't even have to leave the house. But my factory one is all metal.

Repos are all plastic heat stamped brass.
The factory ones were plastic but had a tin cap that was brass (both my 67 and 69's were like this).
Earlier ones were all metal.

I can not give a timeline on the differences.

I'm pretty sure that the pentastar emblem pushes into a "barrel" clip. It can be installed anytime after the fender is in place.

Haven't seen a K-car in a Pull-a-part or any other yard in maybe a dozen years or so! And I live in a very rust-free environment.

If you really need the NOS ones, then you have to pay the price. If you want it to look like a Pentastar (and they don't look that bad), buy the repos and move on.
