Hello all,
I've come here in hopes that someone can help me in my endeavor to find a 65 Dodge Polara I used to own. Had a 440/727 drivetrain, and was a project I let go too soon. Someone posted the ad before I got it last year, and the last I knew of her I sold her to a guy who lived just outside of the Illinois side of the Quad Cities. If anyone can give any insight as to the owner or the car's whereabouts, I'd love to hear if it was ever completed, or if it's for sale again; it's a trek from Kansas that is certainly consider.

Welcome! Scan Craigslist and set an alert for eBay searches. You might talk with whoever you sold it to and see if they have any leads. Good luck.

I think I saw that car for sale a couple of years ago when I was looking for a '65 Polara, but I don't remember where it was located. It was listed for a pretty long time though.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City and good luck with your search!

Have you tried contacting the Illinois Secretary of States office? If you can prove you once owned the car, and it is titled in Illinois, then they can do a search and help you contact the current owner. You can get their number in Springfield on the web.

Welcome, I hope that your search ends well. Do you have a vin?

I recently found an old car I sold a number of years back..by searching the VIN....73 340 RR that was a survivor car. Recently sold for about 3x's what I sold it for!

I have tried to find a few of my other cars I have sold over the years...but without VIN's it a tough one. Not that I want to buy them back, just curious if they are still around. Good luck on your search.

Thank you all for your assistance! I'll probably try EBay and so on, unfortunately my parents lost the bill of sale for the vehicle some time ago, else I'd take the VIN or State office route.

Old insurance records? They will show the VIN, or post an ad on craigslist in the last known area.

If it was your car then your parents didn't lose the BOS........ You did. :poke:
Good luck on your search, i'll keep my eye open. Hard to miss that yellow.

I'll definitely take a look through my insurance records, didn't even think of that. And bluefury361 it's a fault on both parties unfortunately, I was a dependent of my parents at the time.

Yeah someone put the ad up here a couple years ago, that was the guy before the guy I got it from. I think the post is still on here, if you go on google and look up "dodge polara yellow" you can find it via image.
