Picked this car up this weekend. 1971 Dodge Polara sedan, 360 with a 340 intake, and carter carb, 727, 8 3/4, 2.94 sure grip. I am taking the stub frame, engine, trans, driveshaft, leaf springs, steering wheel, instrument cluster and washer bottle, axle is spoken for. If anyone needs anything feel free to ask. Hood is good, all glass is good excluding the windshield, drivers side doors are good, front passenger good, rear not so much. Feel free to ask for photos, but do ask soon, the neighbors tire of my antics.

PS...ld keep washer to when replacements at this point are $600 US

What do the door panels look like with that trim level? I am looking for the under dash kick panels in black if they are nice.

I never knew they made A12's in 1971...I would love to have that fender tag!!!

Thanks,
Dave

It's a DE so it's a base car and should have the plane panels with the medallion fixated on the upper portion.

I see good parts but not from Canada...unless you're delivering to Carlisle

No, they shouldn't be. Where yours ( DL) has the woodgrain and padded portion with the Polara insert.
The DE should be flat vinyl with a piece of trim and a medallion, much different than yours

Thanks Dave for clearing that up for me on the door panels. I am still interested in the kick panels especially the passenger side, maybe the DODGE letters on the hood and for sure the fender tag!

I have to think what else I may need. Too bad my car is in storage. How is the dashpad?

Dave

I hope your dash is better than this one! I'll let you know soon about the kicks and other parts. Seat skins were always covered and mint save for drivers seat bottom, white stitching is worn and I'm sure the vinyl would crack soon anyways due to its age and use. What is A12? I thought that was six pack, which obviously this car did not come with. The gentleman who sold me the car says that he has a Monaco that is one number away from this car and that it "may" be a driver. I got along well with him, and he likes what I'm doing with the cars so I have first right of refusal on all of his C's. He just sold the farm and has to thin out the herd. I can't wait. polara71 you were curious about the wide side mouldings on my coupe, here are some up close pics, let me know what you think.

I don't recall ever seeing them on a 71 polara until your coupe. I'm gonna have to finger through the parts book and look at body side trim moldings. ... Thank you for these pictures, I noticed them when you posted the first set and thought " Son of a *****" there's those moldings again

I'm with dave on this one - save the reference material!
If the car eventually goes to the crusher - please keep or send off the fender tag and broadcast sheet to a registry of some sort. Would it be too much trouble to make a nice color scan of the sheet and email it my direction? I love that kind of reference material. Thanks in advance if you can help Dave or myself out!
Scott.

I'd like the broadcast sheet if that's possible. I'm in Windsor Ontario

Hey guys sorry for the late reply, been busy working and stuff, kicks are dirty but mint minus minor warping on a few of the rearmost louvers on the passenger side 20$CAD + shipping in cardboard box, 30$+ in a wood box. DODGE letters are pretty pitted. Tag and sheet will be staying with me, however I'm happy to share a quality copy, I also have a few others to contribute. Front fender is straight, rust hole at bottom, damage at valance meeting point. Also not trying to make people jealous over a piece on blow molded plastic, rather provide hope and proof that they are out there.
