Hi all,
1965 Custom 880 Convertible. 383 column shift. Non a/c.
Pretty sure it's not a factory color. It's canary yellow, black top and black interior.
I stumbled on this little gem a few months ago. Not sure if this is worth keeping, but I'm going to give a try
My name is Aaron Hixson

Forgot to mention. Southern California implant from Washington State.

Howdy and welcome aboard!

You found a pretty neat car! ANY Chrysler Corp convertible is a low-to-lower production vehicle, period. Worth saving even if it takes a bit to make it happen.

The data plate should detail the oem color combinations and equipment. That combination was not uncommon in the middle 1950s and a bit into the 1960s. Chrysler Corp or otherwise.

Please do some pictures.

Welcome! I have a 1970 Polara 'vert, not a '65, but the restorer who brought my car back on the road is an 880 specialist.

Please post photos!

I like the color, it doesn't suit every type of car but it works on this one.

Welcome from the former steel capital of the world, southwestern Pennsylvania. It looks like you have a diamond in the rough. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here.

Welcome from the Motor City.
Nice find. You're right, it's not an original color. Post a pic of the body tag. It'll have the paint and trim codes.
The 65s had an Ivory color that would look great with the black interior. Get it running great first though, the color is fine.
I read years ago that 65 was the highest production year for convertibles. We had two in 65. A Sport Fury and a Dart GT. Both that Ivory/cream color.

Welcome Aaron! You´re right about the paint color, which is not stock:
