I have a power steering hose challenge I could really use some help with.
My 66 Newport has a 5/8 OD power steering [pump] reservoir neck and a 5/8 OD return hose stub on the steering control valve, BUT all aftermarket power steering coolers come with 3/8-inch OD tubes [you connect your hoses to].
Can anybody suggest a source for step down fittings or return hose assemblies to step down from 5/8 to 3/8? I need two hoses - to the cooler and from the cooler.
I've visited and queried numerous sites and brick-and-mortar stores and even called The Parker [hydraulics] Store with no luck finding field fittings or someone to fab these for me.
The car is a 66 Chrysler Newport 2dr ht, 383-2bbl, with factory A/C and auto tranny. 83,000 miles.
