It is hard to argue with this effort as an effective marketing ploy to bring more attention to Dodge. It is clear that Chrysler has some engineering talent in house and some really driven guys at that. A much more significant achievement than I suspected. Take that Corvette, Mustang and Tesla Model S P85D! And they even route the cabin a/c into the supercharger under maximum conditions. Geesh!

That is just BADASS......

So, what's the dealer markup?
As far as I know there was no mention of price other than under 100,000 bucks as of yet. However with a one year run limited to 3000 States side and 300 in Canada, bet yer *** that markup is going to be substantial.

I was at the Dodge dealer yesterday. The salesman said $80k.

So...that's all that is left of drag racing now? Write a check and push a button? I don't see the point. Well, at least it doesn't accelerate automatically at the green....or does it?

The Chrysler North Korea Lean Burn Test Facility is working on it....

I personally have no need for any of that but I do love it, great video!

Late to party. They did do a good job on it. I like it. I want one .. used .. let somebody else take depreciation hit. So it'll be a few years yet :)

Flares? I am ok with what they did. When Chevy did the C4 ZR1 in 1990 they put a slighltly wider rear fascia on for the ZR1 17x11 wheels with 315/35 tires vs the regular Vettes (17x9.5 wheels, 275/40 tires). It looked good and was functional too.

The Dodge guy at beginning of vid said they wanted to do what THEY do best .. so I guess they took a page from 1978 (other some other car they did this flare thing on)?

I was at our local Dodge dealer's (and the Mopar club's) launch party. The New York Auto show was live streamed; I was not impressed with the marketing style, probably because I'm in my 50's and it was geared towards those under 30 it seems. Lots of rap music and Dodge was very proud of it's connection with Wiz Kalhifa (sp?) a rapper that was handed the keys to a new Hellcat on stage--as if he could not afford to go out and buy a few Hellcats anyway.

I left the show towards the end while the rap music video was playing. I'd had enough.

But, yea, I'll guess an $80K to $85 sticker plus a $15K "market adjustment" by my local dealer.
