Was this available on civilian cars? Or is it a police car item?

Interesting part. Finding the right bezel for it could be a challenge.

was definitely optional on cars, might have been standard with some police packages depending on severity of use ?

So I bought the oil pressure gauge because I thought it was worth the $50 just for the cool factor. I've owned the factory tach before, but this would be something I would like to have instead of a occasionally working clock. There seems to be 2 versions, one for Dodge C's and one for Plymouths. Can anyone confirm this ? plymouthwagondashoilguage.jpg

I believe what we found in welderguy's, finished building my tach today thread, was that Dodge and Plymouth C's have the same size clock opening. Chrysler C's had a slightly smaller opening.

Yes,the openings are the same but if you look closely, the tach faces are different, the Dodge goes to 100psi where as the Ply. goes to 80psi in different increments,

Then I need to ask( because the parts book isn't in front of me) is it a Dodge / Plymouth thing or a 69-71 / 72-73 thing that makes them different?
