I have been checking on some 15x6 rims I have here that I wanted to sell. They came off an all original 1972 Chrysler New Yorker four door sedan that I stripped out. I looked up the Chrysler Muscle Parts Interchange manual 1968 - 1974 and it says for the 1972 New Yorker the part number should be 3580063 but the numbers stamped read like this, there is a "K2" with a "2" below it and then another "2" to the right of that, then on the other side of the valve stem is the number "25" with the pentastar stamp.
Now the look of the numbers suggests pre 1970 but the formula for deciphering pre 1970 numbers doesn't work.
The book says for 1969-71 the part number should be 2944169 even though 1969 they didn't use a part number but a fomulaic numbering like whats stamped on mine.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Okay, i found the damned thing, the part number is 3580157. Meh, still doesn't match up in the book, :icon_salut:

Casting numbers are usually different numbers.

According to my friend they are usually only a digit or two off

I don't know if that applies to wheels or not
