I took kids out to get the ice cream and then washed the car before putting her back to the garage.

Thank you Steve. Learned something new again. A really expensive and rare option in 1971!

The 69 Polara looks like new. Beautiful car.
Where is it located?

picture was taken at RD Classics. It was in real nice condition.
Car sold to the eastern part of germany and resides in the outer area around Berlin

B64 is probably the anti skid brake system that was a very rare option in 1971 model Imperials.

Here is one article on the system.................

B39 69 only H.D. Metallic Brake Lining
B41 69-71 Front Disc Brakes w/Standard 10" RR Drum
B42 70 only Front Disc Brakes w/H.D. 11" RR Drum
B51 69-71 Power Brakes
B61 69-70 Brakes - Standard Drum

Or they see a rare FQ5 seemingly repainted in a not-so-Imperialist blue.

yes, it was repainted in a kind of fantasy blue going into direction of B5.
Also had a black v-roof instead of white and the seats were redone but with non original material.
In pics with open doors it looked like as if the doorjamb might still be FQ5.
But it wasn't the case. It was just a different blue.

Came like that from the US. Tried to live with it but couldn't. And it was too much work to redo it completly as it was repainted everywhere including complete trunk and complete enginebay. Sold it three years later
