Finally gotten around to taking pictures of her this morning. New gas tank, all new brakes and lines, rebuilt engine. Only rot in the whole car I've found is the front floor pans and on top of the fenders under the mirrors and a little pinhole in the hood skin...rest of the car is rock solid

I traded a 62' 4 door Falcon for it of all things. The Ole Chrysler was missing the engine but everything else was there. Guy said he pulled the engine out 15 years ago and sent the block to the machine shop. Shop said the block was cracked and no good so he gave up on it. I got a 400 out of a 77 D200 from the junk yard. Tore it down put a forged steel 383 Crank in it and forged steel rods new pistons, had the heads worked, and put a mild cam in it. Soon as I get the floor her gona finally get to do a test drive and hope the trans is good!

Thanks for the progress report. It'll be good when done!

I suspect the mirror mounting rust is because they probably just "hole punched" the fender when the outside rear view mirror was installed, way back then.

Enjoy!

Yep its pretty flat there so a patch panel will be easy. Someone has repaired it in the past as there is a bit of bondo up there.
