Very rare, any pics?

Factory sunroof or someone with a Sawzall which was a very common thing to do in '71.

The J.C Whiney flip-ups? Bull.
Every street corner had a shop that installed vinyl tops and sunroofs in the early seventies.

More like the mid 70's.... not in 71. Not saying they werent around, not as common as you think. Your time frame is diluted from years

You were six years old fer cripe's sakes. I was helping a frriend in his own shop in 1971.
You are WRONG, sir............

:laughing4: .......... I was five in 71... The sunroof craze came in with disco and conversion vans BUT I really dont care one way or the other. Certainly not as much as police pursuit engines.

You can be right on this one if it means that much to you..............:cheers2:

I put one in my 79 Power wagon and then in my 82 F250 .............. Let the sun shine in !!!!!!!!!!! :snow_plow_oz:

Now see..... a man with proof of conversation .........nice.

I was there, Dave. You weren't.I remember it well....
Please give me this one.

Without seeing the specific car in question I'd call this a tie.

I agree, this is the sort of proof I'd be looking for as to weather an option existed.

On the other hand a 1971 could have had a sunroof cut into it anytime during the 42 years even the 80's

The option definitely existed, the Drydock link has some nice information.

The only question is was it original to the car.... I'd bet a paycheck, yes.
