Can anyone tell me what color the power wire is to the radio?

Somebody did a lackluster job on the last install so now it's hard to tell where to hook anything to.
Thanks.

Like I said, a test light is only a few dollars. You need it because you don't know how effed up the wiring could be.

If it still the factory wiring, there should be a plug with one red wire and one orange wire. The red comes directly from the radio fuse. It should have power whenever the ignition is in the on or acc position. This powers the radio. (the ground connection is through the metal housing of the radio to the dash itself.)

The orange wire is the power for the light in the radio and should have power whenever the dash lights are on.

There should be a second plug with a pair of wires from the radio to the speaker. Don't see this in the diagram, but if I remember correctly one is green, and the other is black or gray.

However, as Stan points out, lot of stuff gets messed with after 48 years, so double check.
