That's M 31 not W31. M is a trim / molding code...off hand ( because my head can't hold that much) is rocker moldings...

Road wheel would be on the sheet at W23, not on the tag that I have ever seen

To me, this is a '71 car that someone, somewhere, has added the '70 hood and grille. A semi-loaded 383 car. Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice car, granted, but it's probably one of one in GG's registry, and nothing more. One-of-one in a registry means squat. GG's own little white book lists 3,915 '71 Sport Fury two-door hardtops built. Only one in this color???

I'm gonna be honest with you, seller, you have a nice $7K - $8K car there, as-is. Pretty straight, needs the vinyl top put on, hood painted, rust repaired properly, car detailed...about $4K worth of additional needs, from what you have pictured. What's the interior look like? No pics, so there is that mystery. Assuming it is NICE, but with no pics, who knows?

And then, maybe you have a $10K - $12K car, assuming the interior is NICE and needs nothing. If it needs help, now you have anywhere from another $2K to $4K in interior work...it's not exactly "priced to sell".

LOL, got my glasses on now, thanks!

It has been snowing here for a couple days I can get some interior pics as soon as it clears up. The interior is excellent but a small tear in the top of the drivers seat and the drivers seat bottom is coming apart at all the stitches. The seat backs, back seat, speaker shelf, door panels, dash and carpet are in excellent condition and all original green. Everything functions as new.....needs one seat redone if back cannot be re-stitched coming apart at the stitching. $12,000 is a starting point I am negotiable on the price just not willing to "Drop My Pants" If some one can give me some help on posting video's on here I have some videos of it running and the interior but the are about 20MB each. Doesn't burn oil and doesn't leak garage is clean where it sets.

Question, "Original Green"? Everything is coded for "Y" which is generally the tans and Golds.....The seats appear to not be green...

The interior is green and gold yes carpet a greenish gold color not familiar with the color but yes light green vinyl with gold cloth. Dash is also an odd shade of goldish green light the rest of the interior.

I am sorry, this a is a more or less typical 71 Sport Fury. Nothing of it is a 1of1
It is a sold car (Y14) meaning a person or a dealer ship bought it and laid down money to get it produced.
It is not a Y22 car

Lovely car guys but trying to implant all this info is swollen my head so I am off to bed night night:yaayy:

"True Survivor 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury 1 of 1 Galen Govier certified."

Please post your 'letter of authenticity'

That would explain the copy of the order form I have from the dealer she got the car from....maybe she got special pricing for being married to a Chrysler employee....maybe she met that....she is in her 80's after all. That would explain the Y14 I have never ran into a Chrysler "" Supposed COPO" car like a GM. I want to represent the car as accurately as possible so this forum is helping me a lot. Definitely helping me through the Myths that I have been given LOL! I sent Galen the money for the certification last Wednesday I will post a copy as soon as I get it!

You will probably wait months for that. Galen knows nothing about C bodies. All he knows is what people like you send him, which is very little. His one of one claim is usually made since it is " the only one in the registry" ....thats how he validates his claims of "one of one".

You have one hell of a cool car, its just not what you may have thought it was

Thats what I had heard, that he was in the car sales business.... which makes him even more shady

Interesting. That sounds like a conflict of interests to me.

and how much his his name worth these days, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks i am begining to figure that out! I have mostly restored B body and E body cars has a couple other C cars but were already done and ended up with family members. All of which were 69-73.

lookin forward to seein some interior pics...were some h5y5 interior pics posted week or three ago with the 71 gold one that was posted up...welcome to the site enjoy

mine was Y16 and this was the explanation given to me by Dacuda

Sales bank cars were cars that were not customer ordered.kinda like a dealer ordered car, some had full options and some not .it was so someone could buy it on the spot .

You do have an interesting Sport Fury, and I hope you have good luck in selling the car. There really is a lot of knowledge on the FCBO forum. Please don't take what we are saying as ragging on your car. We're trying to give you a good handle on what you've got, and what a fair price is likely going to be for you to sell the car.
