Wish we could see it! Must not run... the guy couldn't get it out of the carport to take some decent pics.
Another add to the Craig list thread.

Agree with you guys about the DeSotos.....Provided it is not lace and Swiss cheese from the side trim down, this is a big dollar car.. He doesn't have to move it for the pics. These are exceptional cars for the right people. The 58s fetch a very nice price....a convertible? Fahgettaboutit......

seen this one before some where..... Forward look, maybe?

First year of the redesign by Exner for the Fireflite. This bad boy has a 325 Hemi with Stromberg 2 bbl or possibly with a 4 bbl if it is still original. This one is has a lot of options that I can see. Two tone paint, A/C, and 4 headlight option.

Didn't your grandpa own one of These as a Hardtop, Stan ?

Out where my parents live in Orinda. Maybe 10 miles but has no interest for me as I am sure it is big bucks.

If I remember correctly it has been discussed on Forwardlook a few times.
The guy wants 150k$ if it is the same car

So let me get this right... he wants 150k for it, and he's too lazy to even push it out of the chicken coop to get some decent pics of it! HAHAHAHA!!!

Like i said before, this one belongs on the Craig lister hall of shame

I have NO idea what this car is worth ... let's say it is between $20K and $150K.

so monetarily "valuable" without a doubt, but also its rare, rare indeed as a surviving piece of automotive history in its own right as 69monaco and others pointed out.

BUT, i'm with 78Brougham in that why store something that "valuable" in a 'lean-to" and/or without sufficient photos/detail to provide to the handful of potential buyers, who WILL demand that info, with the interest and the money to do a deal?

or, maybe this car is so rare and in demand, "it don't need no stinkin' writeup" to attract interested parties?

anyway, real nice car. hope it finds a good home - at whatever price a willing buyer and willing seller agree on.

As Carsten stated it's been discussed already more than once on Forward Look if he remembers correctly.
It's still there, so I think something doesn't fit. Personally I think the Generation who desires cars of that era is slowly dying out with a few exceptions. If the Generation that can relate to them is gone, so is the market as a rule of thumb and IMHO.
