Freshly rebuilt 1977 440. The block seems to have been a warranty block as there are no stampings on the assembly pad or VIN pad. Guessing it was an RV engine. Block and heads suffered from what I'd call excessive rust but they have been cleaned and block run through airless shot to clean it out completely. Currently dressed like a 68-69 B body including forged crank dampener, 68-9 valve covers, and water pump housing.
Specs: .030 Over, SP forged pistons, LY rods w/ARP bolts, cast crank turned .010/.010, competition internally balanced, moly rings. Oil system modifications done, new cam bearings, brass core plugs, oil pump drive w/hardened tip. Heads are 452 truck castings with decent guides, new stock type intake valves, stainless performance exh valves (2.02/`1.74), viton positive seals, Comp 926-16 springs, retainers, and locks. Heads were bowl ported before I got them, I cleaned that up and gasket matched them. Has Comp 260H hydraulic cam 260/260, .440/.440, 212*@.050. MP timing set, Melling std pump with MP higher pressure relief spring, pickup, "402" pan and factory windage tray, Edelbrock CH4B intake (Chrysler p/n 2836150). New water pump, fuel pump, distributor, wires, temp and oil pressure senders. Comes with complete assembly sheet.
Engine has been run on my stand and cam has been broken in. With 4150 750cfm Holley idles at 800rpm, 40psi, 17" vacuum. Have additional pics and video. I will paint factory color of your choice. I can configure this engine (valve covers and oil pan) to be correct looking/fitting for E body, A body, or C body and/or adding carb or anything else you want for additional $. Block has the mounting provisions for earlier A and C body mounts. Intent is an engine that is ready to bolt in and run with your carb and exhaust manifolds/headers.
Sold as is, where is. Will not ship but can work with buyer to meet or deliver within 300 miles of 06237. Can provide references if needed.
$7800.00 obo. Open to trades.

Morning Dave. Question! I've pulled a bunch of stuff off my 440 an sent out for powder coating. I wanna pull the bottom pulleys off. 3 bolts plus the center bolt takes it off? I don't wont to pull the balancer, does that center balancer bolt need come off to get the double pull off? or No?

No.
The damper bolt does not need to come out to get the pulleys off. Don't need a puller either.
Take off the 6 bolts, give the pulley some wiggling and pull it off. If it's been on there awhile, might need to pop it a few times with a small deadblow hammer.

Thx for the reply.. it came off no problem. Sent it on Friday along with other part to be powder coated. Should gett’em back next week, then clean and paint the motor and other non coated stuff, then reassemble.
